Signing in to Maktabati is optional. If you signed in with Apple or Google, you can delete your account and everything we keep with it at any time.
In the app (quickest)
- Open Maktabati and go to Profile.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm. If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more.
Your account is deleted straight away.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with (or tell us that address), with the subject Delete my account. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What is deleted
- your account: the email address and the Apple or Google account identifier
- your synced progress: saved words, decks, the words in them, and your place in each book
- book requests and problem reports you sent, with their screenshots
- in our issue tracker (Linear), your email, device details and screenshot are removed from copies of your reports
What is kept
- What is on your own phone, tablet or Mac stays there until you delete the app.
- The text of a problem report you sent may stay in our issue tracker, without anything that identifies you, so we can still fix the problem.
- Your subscription is not affected: it stays with your App Store or Google Play account. To stop paying, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Superwall’s records of purchases are linked to a random identifier on your device, not to your account; email us if you’d like those deleted too.
